Gurnee Queens give back to community

The 2015 Gurnee Queens were crowned this summer and have used their titles to serve the community in numerous ways.

Miss Gurnee Alyssa Whitcare, Junior Miss Gurnee McKenzie McIntyre, and Little Miss Gurnee Audrey Hetman have been busy giving back. The Queens volunteered at a local Save-A-Pet fundraiser as well as a benefit for muscular dystrophy, Gurnee Park District's annual fall fest, the 9/11 remembrance ceremony, and the Gurnee Park District tree dedication ceremony.

In the coming weeks the queens plan to help at various Gurnee Park District events and local charity events.

The Gurnee Community Pageant is about promoting leadership and service, and providing young ladies with an opportunity to give back to the village of Gurnee.
