Those who died in the NIU shootings

Gayle Dubowski, 20, of Carol Stream was a sophomore studying anthropology and a 2006 Glenbard North High School graduate.

Catalina Garcia, a 20-year-old sophomore from Cicero and 2006 graduate of Morton East High School, was majoring in elementary education.

Julianna Gehant, 32, of Mendota was an Army veteran majoring in elementary education.

Ryanne Mace, a 19-year-old sophomore from Carpentersville who was studying psychology, was an avid violinist and a 2006 Dundee-Crown High School graduate.

Daniel Parmenter, 20, of Westchester was a finance major and member of Pi Kappa Alpha who graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, where he played football.
