'Guys and Dolls' opens Thursday at Lake Zurich Middle School North in Hawthorn Woods

Final rehearsals for Lake Zurich Middle School North's presentation of "Guys and Dolls" are taking place at the Hawthorn Woods school.

Eighty-five students make up the cast and crew and have been preparing since January for opening night Thursday, April 16. Karen Jaffe directs the cast of high rollers, songbird showgirls and puritanical missionaries bent on saving degenerate souls in the romantic musical comedy.

"Guys and Dolls" will be performed to a live orchestra at Lake Zurich Middle School North, 95 Hubbard Lane, Thursday, April 16, through Saturday, April 18, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 and available at the door.
