Good Cents Children celebrates 25 years

Good Cents Children in Geneva recently celebrated 25 years in business.

For 25 days in June, the shop at 220 W. State St. had a "25 Days of Giveaways" promotion via Facebook that awarded a prize to a lucky customer each day.

Pedal cars, jewelry, doll houses and themed gift baskets were just a sampling of the wide variety of gifts awarded.

The grand prize was a Chicago Cubs gift set that included four tickets to an August game, valued at over $200. The winner is Lisa Susic of Batavia.

Good Cents Children has 4,500 square feet of resale and new children's clothing, toys and books. The lower level, The Back Alley, carries resale clothing for the teen set, along with gift items and accessories.

It is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with extended evening hours until 8 p.m. on Thursday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
