Werder signs goalkeeper Koen Casteels on loan
BREMEN, Germany (AP) - Werder Bremen says it has signed goalkeeper Koen Casteels until the end of the season.
The struggling Bundesliga club signed the 22-year-old Belgian on loan from Wolfsburg.
Wolfsburg bought out Casteels* contract from Hoffenheim and immediately sent him to Werder.
Werder director Thomas Eichin says Casteels is seen as backup for Raphael Wolf, who will remain the team*s No. 1 goalkeeper.
