Truman's grandson to discuss former president's legacy in Arlington Heights

Clifton Truman Daniel, the oldest grandson of Harry S. Truman, will discuss the former president's place in history and connections to today's issues and events, during a presentation at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights.

Daniel, the son of the late author Margaret Truman and her husband, former New York Times Managing Editor E. Clifton Daniel Jr., will present his unique insights into who President Truman was as a person and a political figure during a historic time.

This free event is part of the Anniversary Speaker Series presented by the church to enlighten and entertain the community on an occasional basis.

The church is located at 302 N. Dunton Ave., near downtown Arlington Heights. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with Daniel. For more information, call (847) 255-5900.
