Authorities seek cause of fire where 2 young boys died

THREE RIVERS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities are working to determine the cause of a fire at a mobile home in southwestern Michigan where two young boys died.

The Three Rivers Commercial News reports Antonisha Winters was injured in an attempt to rescue her children on Wednesday morning. WOOD-TV identifies the brothers as 2-year-old De'Marion and 4-year-old Darnell.

Three Rivers fire Chief Carl Holcomb says the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived about 10 a.m. He says the children were found in a bedroom.

WWMT-TV reports that investigators have ruled out arson as a possible cause.

Village Mobile Home Court manager Abby Landon says she saw the fire and called 911, but crews already were en route. She says the family had moved into the mobile home in November after fixing it up.
