Lake County sheriff warns of phone scam

The Lake County sheriff's office is warning people to beware of scammers posing as sheriff's representatives over the telephone. The office has received reports of Lake County residents getting such fraudulent telephone calls. If you think you've received a fraudulent telephone call, call the sheriff's office at (847) 377-4000.
