Believe Project: $100 for a nonprofit that seeks to end human trafficking

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Barb Westerlund of Lake Zurich.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"A21 is a nonprofit organization that believes together we can work to end human trafficking. It provides rescue, rehabilitation and restoration in several countries. It needs many supplies to maintain shelters, and it requests donations of gift cards from retailers, where it can purchase the many items needed. I would use the $100 to purchase these gift cards. This will help the organization achieve its goal and provide a lifeline to these survivors. Without organizations like A21 working tirelessly to provide the desperately needed support, these survivors would have nowhere to turn. Please consider making a difference in these survivors' lives."

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. However, all of the money collected has been committed and we no longer are accepting submissions.
