Sounders hire former MLS striker Razov as assistant coach

SEATTLE (AP) - The Seattle Sounders have hired former MLS striker Ante Razov as their new assistant coach.

Seattle announced Razov's hiring on Thursday. He replaces Ezra Hendrickson, who became the coach of S2, the Sounders' USL-Pro franchise.

Razov was an MLS original, spending 14 years with the Los Angeles Galaxy, Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, New York Metrostars and Chivas USA. Razov still ranks fourth all time in league history with 114 goals. Razov was also capped 25 times playing for the U.S. national team.

Razov played collegiately at UCLA for Seattle coach Sigi Schmid.
