Hoffman Estates Citizen Police Academy returns

The Hoffman Estates Police Department is accepting applications for its 26th annual Citizen Police Academy.

A new class will be starting Tuesday, March 10 with an orientation from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the training room of the police station, 411 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates.

Classes will then meet for 15 weeks every Tuesday evening, ending June 16 with a graduation ceremony at the village board meeting.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and live, work or attend school in Hoffman Estates. Class size is limited and spots fill up quickly.
