Administrative professionals can attend 1-day conference

Later this month, the Workforce Development Department at Waubonsee Community College will offer office managers, executive assistants, meeting planners, clerks and many other administrative professionals the chance to invest in themselves and their careers, gaining the necessary skills to survive and thrive in today's office environments.

From 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, the college will host its Administrative Professionals One-Day Conference at Waubonsee's downtown Aurora Campus, 18 S. River St..

Registration costs $149 and includes the keynote address, choice of four breakout sessions, continental breakfast and lunch.

Richard Oberbruner, an improv facilitation professional with training through Chicago's Second City Theater, will deliver the keynote, "Change: It's Everything You Think and Nothing You Imagine." Breakout session topics include communication styles, multi-tasking tips, LinkedIn basics, event planning strategies and many more.
