Kenosha runner, 10, short of improving record time

GREEN BAY, Wis. - A 10-year-old Kenosha boy has fallen about a minute short of improving his half-marathon record in Green Bay this weekend.

A Press-Gazette Media report says Noah Bliss has been long-distance running for two years. He did a run earlier this month in record time for 10-year-old boys.

That's according to the Association of Road Racing Statisticians. Guinness World Records doesn't track age-specific race results.

At the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon on Sunday, Bliss finished the half-marathon in an unofficial time of one hour, 38 minutes, 17 seconds. That's 62 seconds slower than his best time.

He finished second in the under-15 age group, behind 12-year-old Drew Dahlen. Dahlen, whose record Bliss beat last month, ran the 13.1 miles in one hour, 29 minutes, 57 seconds.
