Company plans 12-story student high-rise in Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - A Chicago-based company wants to build a 12-story student housing complex in downtown Ann Arbor.
Real estate firm Core Spaces purchased about a half-acre of land in between Sloan Plaza and The Dahlmann Campus Inn last month for just over $7 million. The Ann Arbor News (http://bit.ly/1RvWSVz ) reports that the proposed building also would be located near the Foundry Lofts, a controversial 14-story high-rise that was approved two years ago by City Council and currently is under construction.
Plans for the 129-unit building have been submitted to the Ann Arbor Design Review Board for approval by City Council.
The company plans to release additional information after it receives feedback on the project.
