Take a hike in Libertyville

Toddlers and their parents can take a hike and learn about nature Aug. 11, in a special program at the Wright Woods Forest Preserve near Libertyville. Dubbed "Hikin' Tykes - Pond Life," the program will run from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. It's open to kids between the ages of 2 and 4 who are accompanied by adults. A story and a craft are part of the program. Registration will cost $2 for kids who are Lake County residents or $5 for adults who are county residents. For other people, admission is $3 or $7.
