Students prepare for a sweet Rosh Hashana
Elementary students from Torah Academy in Buffalo Grove visited Heinz Orchard in Green Oaks this week.
The students were picking apples in advance of the high holiday Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, which begins at sundown on Sunday.
It is a Jewish tradition to eat apples and honey to wish for a sweet new year.
