Removal of God from classroom perilous
In the 1960s, we removed prayer and the mention of God from the classroom. Fast forward to the present. We have American citizens joining Islamist terrorist groups, a senseless but purposeful disruption of the Aurora air traffic control system causing problems nationwide, and a beheading in Oklahoma. The great advocate of orthodoxy, G.K. Chesterton, more than a century ago, observed that when a man believes in nothing, he will, unfortunately, believe anything.
