Hanover Park hires chief information officer

Jed Gerstein started working Tuesday as the new chief information officer for Hanover Park. He has served as an IT professional for 18 years, 15 years of which has been in municipal service. In his previous position, he was the technology manager for the Schaumburg Park District, where he was responsible for strategic direction and implementation of networks, along with telecommunications. He also has worked as an information systems manager at the Naperville Park District. He grew up on the North Side of Chicago and has a son and a daughter.
