Fire damages house in Lombard
Lombard firefighters are investigating the cause of a Wednesday evening blaze that caused roughly $70,000 damage to a house on the 200 block of West Central Avenue.
Firefighters arrived about 6:30 p.m. and all of the home's occupants already were safely out of the building, Battalion Chief Marty Coomes said in a news release. Firefighters brought the fire under control in roughly 10 minutes and contained most of the damage to a second-floor bedroom.
No injuries were reported.
Lombard firefighters were assisted by crews from Villa Park, York Center, Addison, Glenside and Oak Brook.
