Anti-drug event planned

Stand Strong, a community coalition dedicated to keeping Stevenson High School students drug- and alcohol-free, is sponsoring a panel discussion entitled "Not My Kid?!" from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the school, Two Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire. The event will feature several experts who will answer questions about the challenges teens face. Scheduled to appear is: Assistant State's Attorney Claudia Kasten; Dr. Laura Parise, an adolescent psychiatrist specializing in addictions with NorthShore University HealthSystem; Lincolnshire police officer Tom Branick; and Principal Troy Gobble.
