Officer's deception hard to fathom

How do we explain the actions of someone who deceived many?

Lt. Gliniewicz a 30-year police officer who did the unthinkable. This police officer fooled many into thinking he was beyond reproach.

An intensive investigation was done into his death because of the circumstances and the fact he indicated there were three men involved. After a two-month grueling investigation and approximately $300,000 later, it was revealed he committed suicide.

Lt. Gliniewicz did a great deal of work with the younger men in hopes they themselves would want to become police officers. He was hiding under a mask of deceit and corruption.

A great deal of money was used for his pleasures. This was a seven-year deal with money he had no right to.

There are many questions unanswered yet, we cannot judge. Only God can. The people in Fox Lake are saddened and still cannot believe that this man who appeared loving and kind did such a thing.

Writing nasty messages on signs and calling him names will not justify what he did. People in Fox Lake and surrounding areas need to go forward and pray this will not ever happen again. ("Judge not less you be judged.")

The end results only will prove he was under a cloak of disguise.
