Old House New House Show draws home remodelers and even a panda bear

Hundreds of people and one panda bear were on hand Sunday at The Old House New House Home Show at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles.

For more than 30 years the show has drawn homeowners interested in remodeling, restoration and home transformation.

The panda bear - actually a person in a panda bear costume - walked through the exhibits bearing a sign for Mr. Bamboo-, a flooring business, as visitors explored the latest in kitchens, baths, additions, basements, landscaping, interior design and more. There were also continual live demonstrations and workshops.

A tiling demonstration takes place Sunday during the Old House, New House show at the Pheasant Run Resort Mega Center in St. Charles. About 300 businesses were represented at the show. John Starks/jstarks@dailyherald.com
