If leaders are so confident, why not let people vote?

In response to an article about top Democrats rejecting the redistricting and term limits ballot proposals the governor is promoting, if Michael Madigan and John Cullerton are so sure of their way of continuing to run the state of Illinois as the status quo, then put your money where your mouth is. If you think the proposals are just Republican issues, then put the questions on the ballot.

Ask the public separate questions. Do the people want term limits? Do the people want the redrawing of political districts?

I don't think the Democratic leaders want to know or face the reality that they may be wrong. If the vote says the people don't want any change, then case closed.
