Free pit bull health clinic
Waukegan police animal control will host a free pit bull health clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at its facility, 1698 N. McAree Road, Waukegan. The free clinic is open to owners of pit bull-type dogs in the 60079, 60085 and 60087 ZIP codes and features vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter appointments, leashes and collars and training information. Proof of residency is required, and no other breeds of dog will be seen or treated. The event is sponsored and paid for by the Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation, which works to aid in the rescue and promote adoption of neglected, abused or abandoned pit bulls.
