Libertyville restaurant fined

A well-known restaurant in downtown Libertyville was fined and will have its liquor license suspended for a day. Shakou, 625 N. Milwaukee Ave., received a one-day suspension for the alleged sale of liquor to minors Nov. 22. The suspension will be in effect Sunday, Jan. 11. The establishment also was fined $2,500, Libertyville Mayor and Liquor Control Commissioner Terry Weppler announced Tuesday.
