Three-vehicle crash in Buffalo Grove seriously injures man

A three-vehicle crash in Buffalo Grove seriously injured a man driving a pickup truck Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.

The man was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening, Buffalo Grove fire Lt. Ron Two Bulls said.

Police are investigating what caused the crash at the intersection of Weiland Road and Deerfield Parkway.

A stretch of Weiland to just north of Deerfield has been shut down for the investigation. The area will be blocked off for several more hours this evening, police said.
