Metea Valley High School sees Monday lockdown
Metea Valley High School was put on a soft lockdown Monday after a student found a note referencing a bomb, officials said Tuesday.
The lockdown was shortly before noon after a student discovered a note in a bathroom that "referenced a bomb in the building," according to an email from Media Relations Manager Dan Ferrelli.
Because of what was in the note, which Ferrelli said he would not elaborate on, it was quickly determined not to be credible. The area was searched and nothing was found, Ferrelli said. The soft lockdown was lifted about 12:30.
The investigation is ongoing.
