Palatine Chamber hosts State of the Village Update

Local business leaders braved the cold and snow to attend the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce's annual State of the Village Update on Wednesday, February 4th at Cutting Hall in Palatine. Mayor Jim Schwantz shared successes from 2014, which include commencement of the Village Hall Project, implementation of the 2014-2018 Strategic Plan, the Extension of the Electric Aggregation Program, opening of the Tap House Grill Restaurant, Downtown Planning Grant and Plum Grove Hills Storm Sewer Project.

In 2015, Mayor Schwantz said focus will be on the Village Hall remodel, Salt Storage facility as well as Ecomonic Development Activites. Economic Development updates included information on the former Menard's site, downtown Palatine façade improvement program, IDOT proposed Dundee Rd. improvements and the former Applebee's site.
