Elgin man charged with sexual assault

A 55-year-old Elgin man was being held on $1 million bond in Kane County jail after being charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault.
Peter L. Jacobson, of the 0-100 block of North Jane Street, appeared in the Kane County bond court Wednesday in Elgin, court records show.
He was charged with 12 counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of attempted criminal sexual assault that took place in 2013 and 2014. Records indicate there were three victims, all unable to give consent.
