Barlett Plan Commission gives preliminary nod to new gambling cafe

The Bartlett Plan Commission recommended for approval plans for a new video gambling cafe, Daniela's, in downtown Bartlett near the intersection of Bartlett and Hickory Avenues.

A public hearing on the plans was held Thursday, and nine people spoke in favor of the cafe. Nine people also spoke out against the idea of a new video gambling establishment.

The commission's 4-2 vote in favor of the proposal sends it to the village board.

Current plans for Daniela's include four video gambling terminals, two bathrooms and more than 25 seats.
