Henry County mother pleads guilty in child neglect case
NEW CASTLE, Ind. (AP) - A Henry County woman has pleaded guilty to felony counts after three of her children were found malnourished and her 14-month-old daughter suffered a skull fracture.
The (Muncie) Star Press reports (http://tspne.ws/1hgDAGY ) that 24-year-old Sheena A. Zanghi or Mooreland entered the plea Friday in Henry County court. Terms of the plea agreement weren't released. A judge set Oct. 26 for sentencing.
Authorities say the woman's children were found in June 2014 living in a rural mobile home without electricity or running water.
Zanghi previously reached a plea agreement in August, but told the judge at that time that she wanted to withdraw and testify at trial. Zanghi's husband, Vincent Carl Zanghi, pleaded guilty to the four neglect counts in August and was sentenced to a year in jail.
