Hoffman Estates man guilty of abusing young girl

A 27-year-old Hoffman Estates man pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a young girl, court clerk records show.
In exchange for Juan Tello-Martinez's guilty plea, a Cook County judge last week sentenced him to three years in prison and ordered him to pay $689 in fines.
Additionally, Tello-Martinez must register as a sex offender for 10 years after his release from prison.
Prosecutors say another adult walked in on Tello-Martinez abusing the girl last March.
Tello-Martinez, who has no criminal background, received credit for 332 days in custody.
