CLC cops graduate from training program
Two College of Lake County police officers, Sgt. Darryl Harlan and Sgt. Ted Waters, have graduated from law-enforcement leadership training at Northwestern University's Center for Public School of Police Staff and Command. "I'm extremely proud of Darryl and Ted for completing the program," CLC Police Chief Thomas Guenther said. "It is the premier police executive training program in the country, and it's very rigorous." The program, which consists of eight hours of upper-level college classes five days a week for 10 weeks, covers leadership, budgeting, planning and policy development, statistical analysis, project management and employee relations.
