Aurora Downtown hosts trick-or-treat event Oct. 28

Aurora Downtown will hold its annual Trick-or-Treat Downtown event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

Costumes are encouraged, and all ages and abilities are welcome. Aurora Downtown first hosted the event in 2015, and it has since become a family favorite.

The free event features 35 participating locations in downtown Aurora. Small businesses, museums, and several restaurants will be open with treats.

It coincides with Sugar Skull City, a downtown-wide Day of the Dead celebration, and visitors can check out the ofrendas, painted storefronts, and more.

Pick up a map at Santori Public Library, Aurora Regional Fire Museum, or the David L. Pierce Art and History Center.

Locations will have orange paper pumpkins on their doors. The event is rain or shine.
