Everything will be awesome at Palatine Indoor Drive-In event

The Palatine Park District will be screening "The Lego Movie" during its annual Indoor Drive-In Movie event for families from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Ave.

Before the movie starts at 7 p.m., children will be creating their own "cars" to sit in during the show. Each child supplies their own cardboard box, and decorations will be provided.

Parents are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to view the movie.

The fee is $10 per family. Space is limited, and preregistration is required. Registration can be completed in person at Community Center, Birchwood Recreation Center, or Falcon Park Recreation Center, or online at palatineparks.org using program code 240060-01.

Light snacks will be available for purchase, including popcorn, juice boxes, water, pop and candy treats. Outside food is not allowed.

For more information, visit palatineparks.org or contact Lisa Schroeder, special interest coordinator, at (847) 496-6229 or lschroeder@palatineparks.org.
