Baseball collectibles on display at Grayslake museum
The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum will host a limited-engagement display of baseball collectibles from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12. Bill Rose will showcase his sizable collection, which includes models of more than 50 past and present Major League Baseball stadiums, patches, cards and more. Rose is an avid baseball enthusiast and also plays 19th century rules baseball for the Somonauk Blue Stockings. He will answer questions and have a scavenger hunt and trivia quiz for visitors. This limited-engagement display has been planned in support of the exhibit, "Sox vs. Cubs: The Chicago Civil Wars," on display at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum, 164 Hawley St., Grayslake.
