Freight train hits pedestrian in Lake Forest

A freight train struck a pedestrian Thursday night near the Metra station in Lake Forest, officials said.
Police responded to the scene about 8 p.m. near Everett and Waukegan roads.
Metra trains on the Milwaukee District North Line were halted in the vicinity of Lake Forest. The estimated time of delays are unknown, Metra officials said.
