Palatine police are looking for a 63-year-old man they consider in danger.
Leon Joffe has bipolar disorder and was scheduled to stay at an assisted-living center in Palatine. But he left the center at 5 p.m. Wednesday and took a cab to O'Hare International Airport, according to a news release.
Police say he can appear to be delusional and paranoid.
Joffe was wearing a beige sports coat, blue dress shorts, a plaid shirt and bright blue loafers with white stitching. He speaks with an English accent. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds.
