Learn about floodproofing at Oct. 19 expo in Libertyville

The Lake County Stormwater Management Commission is hosting a Floodproofing Expo and Workshop for homeowners and property owners from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Libertyville Sports Complex.

Visitors to the event can learn about various products, services, and solutions to minimize flood damages to homes and properties and meet with related companies, vendors, and other resources.

In addition, there will be expert presentations every hour from experts who will speak about flood-related matters and answer questions.

The event is free and open to the public. The Libertyville Sports Complex is located at the corner of Route 45 and Peterson Road in Libertyville.
