Breland returning to Sky for 2015 season

After a career year last season, Sky forward Jessica Breland has signed a deal to remain with the Chicago Sky through the 2015 season, team officials announced Thursday.

Breland, who turns 27 next week, appeared in 32 games for the Sky last season. The 6-foot-3 forward, who earned her a spot on the Eastern Conference All-Star team, set career-high averages for rebounds (6.8), steals (0.9), blocks (1.8) and points (9.7) per game.

"I'm thrilled Jessica will continue this journey with us," said Sky head coach/GM Pokey Chatman. "She immediately made a positive impact on both ends of the floor."

The Sky opens the 2015 Season on June 5.
