Neumann, McCallister pace a Prospect win

Niki Neumann and Danielle McCallister had 5 goals apiece to pace visiting Prospect in an 18-4 victory over Barrington on Wednesday in a Mid-Suburban League girls water polo crossover.

Wheeling 11, Fremd 8: Wildcats senior Theresa Godlewski came up with 7 goals and goalie Jenna Pink stopped 11 shots to lead the defending Mid-Suburban League champs to a victory over the visiting Vikings.

Emma Hoffman paced Fremd with 3 goals.

Palatine 12, Elk Grove 3: The host Pirates got a big scoring effort from senior Caroline Wojtas (7 goals, 3 steals, 2 assists) in a decisive MSL crossover win.

Other big contributors for Palaitne included Caitlin McHugh (2 goals, 1 assist), Kristin Anderson (1 goal, 4 steals) and Tess O'Brien, who made 5 saves in goal in the first half, then contributed a goal and an assist in the second half while playing the field.
