Duckworth deserves cheers, not jeers

The Sept. 14 Opinion page was the usual interesting read. The Our View column urges us to get involved in local government, and on the same page a letter was featured criticizing a woman who got involved in an even bigger political arena. Congressional Rep. Tammy Duckworth is taken to task for mentioning her military service and her pregnancy. Let's hope we all do get involved in governing and cheer a vet who states a condition no male veteran could make.
