Panathinaikos and AEK play to a scoreless draw

ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Second-place Panathinaikos and third-place AEK played to a 0-0 draw Sunday, allowing defending champion Olympiakos to extend its lead in the Greek league.

Olympiakos, which maintained its perfect record with a 2-0 win at Veria Saturday, is now eight points ahead of Panathinaikos, with AEK a further point back.

Also Sunday, Asteras overcame a first half deficit to beat PAOK 2-1, Xanthi beat Panetolikos 3-1 and Giannena, having hit the post three times and missed a penalty, scored two late goals to beat Panthrakikos.

On Monday, Iraklis takes on visiting Atromitos.
