Images: Swedish Days from the 40s to the 70s Retro Gallery

Swedish Days returned to Geneva this week for its 66th straight year. Here's a look at some images from the 1940s to the 70s, graciously provided by the Geneva History Museum.

The six-day festival opened Tuesday and runs through Sunday. Some events have been going on since the festival started in 1949, such as Sunday's parade that runs along State Street. You can also get back to your Swedish roots with Sweden Vast Saturday and Sunday, with Swedish foods, artists, storytellers and even authentically-dressed Viking living historians.

So take a walk down memory lane with us. Reminisce about that special time, place or person in your life from back in the day. Share your memories. Share your photos with #RetroGallery. Tell us what you'd like to see in future galleries.

Look for a new Retro Gallery every Thursday at www.dailyherald.com/oldpics.
