Shoot baskets, play volleyball or swim indoors during school days off

Children home early from school on May 6 for the Schaumburg School District 54's in-service half day, will find plenty to do at Schaumburg Park District facilities.

The Park District's open gym schedule includes:

• Youth open basketball from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way.

• Open basketball from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Schaumburg Tennis Plus, 1416 N. Payne Road.

Open gym is free to all fitness pass-holders at the fitness facilities included in their membership. For non-member residents, the fee is $4 for youths at Meineke and $5 at Schaumburg Tennis Plus. For non-member, non-resident youths, the fee is $8 at Meineke and $9 at STP.
