West Dundee man killed by forklift in Elk Grove

A forklift accident took the life of a 22-year-old West Dundee man Friday in Elk Grove Village, the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
Daniel Blatz, of the 1400 block of Karen Drive in West Dundee, received multiple blunt force injuries from a forklift at about 2:47 p.m. Friday, a medical examiner spokeswoman said. The accident occurred at 1201 Estes Ave. in Elk Grove Village. That's the address of Certified Tool & Manufacturing Corp.
Elk Grove Fire Department officials said they had no information on the accident. Elk Grove police said they would not be able to provide information about the accident until Monday.
