Dist. 63 appoints new head of after-school programs
East Maine School District 63 officials have appointed Brian Williams as director of the district's Total Learning Community after-school program.
The program, available at all seven schools, serves more than 275 K-8 students, where they can get assistance with homework, and participate in activities such as art, music, drama and sports. The schools also offer spring and summer vacation programs, a basketball league, open gym nights and teen programs, officials say.
Williams was program director of Evanston's Youth Organizations Umbrella, a development agency that offers after-school programs and mentoring.
