I am an open minded person with integrity. I won't just go along with an idea if I don't believe in it and if it's not in the best interest for the community. What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.I feel that the local sales tax is currently too high. Some people today are on a fixed income, whether they are retired or unemployed, and I feel that when people shop, they are looking to get the most for their money. So if the next town over or 2 towns over has lower sales tax, they might take their money their and shop.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?I feel that there could be more police and fire coverage than already provided. With technology constantly changing, I feel that our police and fire departments need to maintain that technology change through equipment, training and staffing levels. My public safety concern is that if I as a resident am having an emergency, the first vehicle to show up might not necessarily be the one to help improve my emergency situation.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Candidate did not respond. What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to see more community sponsored events for all ages. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Growth and expansion of our current local businessPlease name one current leader who most inspires you.Candidate did not respond. What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Life isn't fair, but it's still goodIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I won't change anything. Life brought me to where I am today for a reasonWhat was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Health, because it helped me understand that what we put into our bodies is important. If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?To follow your heart
