Q: How long have you been decorating your house like this?

Scott Amundsen: "This is our third year putting the lights to music. Each year it's gotten a little bigger and we have added some songs. Prior to that we just put lights on the bushes"

Q: What inspired you to go all out with your decorations?

A: A few years ago during the Amundsens' annual Christmas Eve journey around the area to see Christmas lights they came upon a house that had their lights to music. After a year of researching how it was done, the Amundsen family decided to give it a try.

Q: How many hours does it take to put up the display?

A: It takes the Amundsen family 50 hours to put up all the lights.

Q: How many strings of lights are involved?

A: The Amundsen family Christmas light display has 25,000 different lights over roughly 190 strings, but most of those strings are RGB lights that give you the ability to change the color of each bulb.

Q: How much does your electric bill spike in December?

A: Since most of their lights are LED, their electrical bill goes up only about $50 compared to a few years ago when incandescent lights were used and bills could go up $200-$300.

Q: What do your neighbors think of your display?

A: "They are real, real supportive"
