Des Plaines Camera Club announces competition winners
The Des Plaines Camera Club offers members the opportunity to enter images into competition in both print and electronic formats.
Between September and May, Image of the Month awards, Print of the Month, as well as awards and honorable mentions, are presented for both formats. The last competition of the season occurred on Nov. 25.
Print of the Month, December, was awarded to John Kowalyk for “Prime American Landscape.”
DPI (Digital Image) of the Month, December, was awarded to Sue Lindell for “Curious Gosling.”
Print of the Month, January, was awarded to John Peterson for “Cascading Waterfall.”
DPI (Digital Image) of the Month, January, was awarded to Sue Lindell for “Treat.”
In addition, awards went to David Waycie for “Cycles”; Marie Rokoczy for “A Silent Prayer”; and Sue Lindell for “And This Is My Daughter.”
Honorable Mentions went to Larry Michalski for “The Artist”; Marie Rakoczy for “Star of the Show”; Tom Mulick for “Chicago River Heading East”; Jane Ballengee for “Love Me, I’m Beautiful”; Marie Rokoczy for “Meerkat Posing”; and Ken Black for “Red Bull Helicopter.”

Whatever level of interest in photography you have, all are invited to attend a meeting. The Des Plaines Camera Club meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month, September through May, at 7 p.m. in the Des Plaines Park District’s Arndt Field House, 1990 White St.
